Dreamweaver (DW) gives you several tools to help you maintain your web site. One of my favorites is Design Notes. With Design Notes, you have the ability to tack notes to a page, set a page workflow status and can then run reports on your site to locate pages that have various status settings.
However, I don't think many people actually use this cool feature. I say this because when I was learning DW, I assumed that running a query to obtain page status reports would be a great way to quickly make sure all work had been done before uploading a site or updated pages. And I was right...it is! But after finding few details in Help and asking how to do this in several user groups...I discovered that few people knew what I was talking about. Nevertheless, after a little determined experimentation I managed to learn how to take great advantage of this feature. I even got over the bugs!
In this article, I'll show you how to get the most out of Dreamweaver's Design Notes.
