These drivers aren't drunk or stoned - they're under the influence of Ambien, the nation's most popular prescription sleeping pill, according to a report in the New York
Times.

The Personal Computer

This image is going around the Internet as a "funny email" that is amazing folks. [Thanks to Chuck Silco, Jr. for sending it to me.] Apparently, it was published back in the late 50s. Granted, our basement can look pretty much like this when Greg gets rolling on his tech projects<grin>...but I'm really glad things worked out a bit differently than expected! Trying putting THIS on your lap!<lol>

The caption reads: Scientists from the RAND Corporation have created this model to illustrate how a "home computer" could look like in the year 2004. However the needed technology will not be economically feasible for the average home. Also the scientists readily admit that the computer will require not yet invented technology to actually work, but 50 years from now scientific progress is expected to solve these problems. With teletype interface and the Fortran language, the computer will be easy to use."

A Fortran operating system!!

Okay, all together now..."Thank you, Bill Gates and Jack Kilby!!" <grin>
