One of the oldest and most popular add-ins ever created for
Microsoft Word has been upgraded for 2007 with a number of new productivity
features designed to speed your work and improve the quality of your documents.
(As some of you may know, DataPrompter is the brainchild of Microsoft Word MVP
and TechTrax Contributing Author Bill Coan and works with Word version 2000, 2002, 2003 and now 2007.)
Creates Frequently Needed Documents in Seconds
With the DataPrompter 2007 add-in, Word creates your
documents for you and then automatically prompts you for any data that needs to
be changed. (See Figure 1.) There’s no faster or easier way to make sure that
data is updated consistently throughout a document, which is one reason the add-in
has proved popular in business, law, sales, finance, real estate, and
government offices.

Figure 1 - The DataPrompter 2007 add-in automatically
prompts you for data that needs to be changed, then makes sure that the data is
updated consistently throughout each document or family of documents.
Integrated Spellchecker
DataPrompter 2007 now includes an integrated spell check
function. Simply fill in the datafields and then choose Spelling.... and let
DataPrompter do the rest. (See Figure 2.)

Figure 2 - The integrated spellchecker assures that data
entered into a document is properly spelled.
Selective Import Capability When Creating Datafields
If you've already set up some DataFields in a document, you
can import into a new document as many or as few of them as desired. Simply
choose Create/Modify DataField and then choose Import... and select the
document that you want to import from. Import a single DataField, all of the
DataFields, or as many DataFields as needed.
List All Datafields In A Document
If you've ever wanted to keep a record of all the DataFields
in a given document (or the current values of those DataFields), simply open
any document or template that contains one or more DataFields, then choose
DataPrompter Options and click List DataFields.
Faster Document Assembly
Assembling boilerplate items into a new document is as easy
as ever, but now you can edit your assembly lists faster than ever, with fewer
clicks than before. Also, now you can set the Copies count for a given
boilerplate item to zero. Later, if you change your mind, simply reassemble the
document and increment the Copies count to one or as many copies as desired.
Compatible With New Office 2007 File Formats
DataPrompter 2007 offers full compatibility with Office
2007's new file formats, as well as with older Word formats going back to Word
2000.
