In this video, I show you how to create a more complex, custom dialog box by taking advantage of the Multi Page control.
You'll learn how to create a dialog box with tabs so you can collect more information by using multiple pages within a single dialog box.
If you're following along with my Word Database Connectivity lessons, this video lesson will come in handy because it will allow you to present your user with one dialog box that requests all types of information, each set of data categoriezed on separate tabs within one dialog box. A very useful option because when connecting a form to a database, you usually need to collect a lot of data. And organizing the information within separate dialog pages will make the process easier for your users to understand.
Note! You should have a basic understanding of how to create a custom dialog box, as well as how to capture and pass the information you've captured. But fear not! If you don't already know these things, you can learn that here, too! See VBA: Passing Info to Word Docs, VBA: Inserting Information into a Document and VB Editor User Form Tips, as well as the article: Creating Custom Dialog Boxes.
