Kim Hedrich is from Australia and teaches Office applications (among
other topics). She holds a Cert IV in Assessment and Workplace Training. Kim
also works on an IT helpdesk, so she's in touch with what clients want and need
from Microsoft Office applications.
While not the best way to learn, Kim has done most of her learning through trial
and error, and not from training courses. She regard herself as a fairly experienced
Microsoft Office user. She says most people are surprised to learn that she's
self-taught and that she did not reached her current level of expertise with
the help of formal training.
Kim Hedrich had been a regular TechTrax subscriber. Thanks to her love of teaching
and writing, she sent us a training manual she'd created for her colleagues,
as a sample of her knowledge. Impressed, we invited her to join our writing team
to share her experience with our readers.
