North Idaho Homebrewers is an organization of people who are interested in brewing their own beer at home. It is not an exclusive club. We welcome anyone who shares our interest in homebrewing, regardless of where you might live, and regardless of your skill level. The "North Idaho" part of our name simply indicates that our events are typically held in the Sandpoint area of the North Idaho panhandle.
Our Mission
The club seeks to educate and inspire homebrewers, and to provide a forum for members to share experiences. Membership is free. To join, use the Join Today form at the top of the page.
This Web site is the official on-line home for NIHB. Here are some examples of the kind of information you can find:
- Homebrew recipes
- Tips and techniques
- Reviews of ingredients and equipment
- Schedule of club events
This site is a work in progress. New content is added regularly, but randomly. The best way to know when new content has been added is to join the club or subscribe to the RSS feed. Click on the little orange RSS button at the top of the page for more information.
How to Use This Site
The Web site has two main sections:
NIHB Home
The home section is where you are right now. The table of contents gives you quick access to the latest announcements and events. The home area also contains stories relating to beer brewing that share the pain and joy of engaging in the hobby you can quaff.
NIHB Recipes
As you may have guessed, the recipe section is a selection of beer recipe articles. Each one includes ingredients and instructions which you are free to use as-is or adapt to your own whims.
Feedback and Participation is Welcome
