Software developer and TechTrax contributor Bill Coan has licensed his DataPrompter software to the United States Government, Office of Administration, Executive Office of the President.

"The order arrived via the internet and we knew immediately that it was from the federal government," observed Coan. "Even so, I was taken completely by surprise when I visited the customer's website and discovered it was the Executive Office of the President at the White House in Washington, D.C."

Coan has licensed his DataPrompter software to numerous governmental agencies, but there was a special thrill to receive an order from the White House. "Prior to this, our biggest thrill was licensing our software to 900 users at the Attorney General's Office for the State of Arizona," he explained.

The DataPrompter software automatically prompts a user to enter missing data, then inserts the data into the user's documents where needed. Later, if the data needs to be changed, the software updates the data accurately and consistently throughout each document or family of documents.
