Welcome to the Debut Issue of TechTrax!

This Ezine (online magazine) is part of MouseTrax Computing Solutions (www.mousetrax.com). On MouseTrax, the TechPage link there contains many tutorials and how-to articles, mostly related to Word. We realized, however, that we needed a better/faster way to get more information to our visitors. We hope TechTrax will be the answer.

Regularly publishing material to the net is time consuming. You have to write the articles, capture the screen shots, proof, format, organize, set appropriate links, and publish. But, thanks to now using special publishing software called LEI Publication Manager, created by James Byrd and Susan Daffron of Logical Expressions, Inc., we'll now be able to concentrate more on compiling information and writing articles and spend less time dealing with formatting and publishing. Because this software does most of the work for you, making document management and publishing so much easier!

Articles in TechTrax will be wide reaching. There'll be something for everyone, at all user levels. Recently, I've also been working more with blind computer users and developers, learning about their different needs. We hope to provide education to both blind and sighted users through this Ezine. TechTrax may not yet be fully screen reader friendly, but with regular advice from users of JAWS and other screen reader programs, we hope to make it better each issue. And each month we also invite you back to take on our assessment tests. A fun way to see just how much you do know.

TechTrax is planned as a monthly publication. We hope you'll come back every month to see what's new. Bookmark www.mousetrax.com where you'll easily find a navigation button to lead you back here, month after month. Or better yet, you can go to the main TechTrax page on MouseTrax, enter your email and we'll send you a brief note when the next issue goes live!

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all the talented writers you'll regularly find in TechTrax. The valuable time they take to share their knowledge with us is much appreciated! Be sure to view their bios to learn more about who they are.

Oh, and feel free to send us Feedback to let us know what you think of TechTrax.

Enjoy!
Dian ~
